Paleontological Monitor
PaleoWest Archaeology – Fresno, CA
Temporary
PaleoWest Archaeology is staffing archaeological and paleontological construction monitoring positions for multiple projects in southern California and the Central Valley (Fresno).

Archaeological monitors must possess either 1) a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or another applicable field and have at least six months monitoring experience; or 2) an Associate’s in Anthropology and at least two years monitoring experience. Cross-training on paleontological monitoring is a plus.
Paleontological monitors should possess either 1) a Bachelor’s degree in Paleontology or Paleobiology or another applicable field and have at least six months monitoring experience. Cross-training on archaeological monitoring is a plus.
Pay will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Successful candidates should be highly dependable, motivated, resourceful, dedicated, and organized. Local applicants to Southern California and the Central Valley, particularly Fresno, are highly preferred. All candidates will work under the direction of a Senior Archaeologist and a paleontologist.
