Description of Work: Delivers on-site school gallery programs with natural history content. Delivers and supports virtual field trip gallery programs. Assists with development of new gallery and virtual field trip programs. Assists in development of new kits to supplement virtual field trips. Coordinates, presents and oversees programming for the new 4th floor Science Explore Zone. Assists with coordination and oversight of special family programs and camps and attends these programs and camps. Serves as back-up for Museum Reservations. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications: BA/BS in science and/or education with coursework in evolution, ecology, paleontology or related sciences plus two (2) years’ experience developing, writing and/or presenting educational material. Previous experience in a museum, zoo, classroom, nature center or similar cultural organization applies. Some experience presenting virtual field trips. Work history will demonstrate knowledge of technical aspects of video conferencing, presentation skills in classroom and community settings, ability to communicate effectively within a wide range of topics. Skills and ability to produce virtual field trips both technically and scholastically. Deep range of technical problem solving skills relating to video conferencing equipment, connections and software. Ability to troubleshoot required.
Demonstrate ability to communicate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) content in programming for K-12 or family audiences. Familiarity with Nebraska State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards and/or Common Core Standards, as demonstrated by coursework or life experiences.

Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have experience in a customer service position and in utilizing and compiling databases. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a highly active environment. Professional or educational background in the field of natural history.
